Our goal for the youth mission trip is two -fold: First to teach and equip youth to serve God in missions, whether they are sending or going. Second, to bless and refresh the long term missionaries in Peru, advancing what the Lord has already begun.
The missions team has been divided into three groups:
Warrior Group :
- The responsibilities of this group will be to trail blaze the trip through intercessory prayer. Commitments include :
- 3 prayer meetings leading up to the trip and throughout the trip
- Partnering with a Green group member to pray specifically for that youth members needs and requests
- Prayer chain reports given to parents from the field.
Green Group :
- These students will be the group sen to Peru. Their responsibilities will include :
- 4 team meetings for training in cultivating their hearts for missions, cross cultural sensitivity, sharing their faith and preparing for on site projects
- Going to Peru in July.
Barnabas Group :
- This group will love and encourage through creativity. Team responsibilities include :
- Going to airport to send off Green group with letters and cards for the trip.
- Come up with creative ways to encourage Todd and Stephanie
- Hosting a Welcome Home Dinner for the Peru Team
Trip dates are July 6th – 15th.
